Edit: After talking with a reader tonight, I’m going to be less apologetic about Alice. She called it “real and raw.”
Addressing a reviewer who called the book “Garbage,” Alice is not garbage. It’s a story with realism, and a lot of family issues jammed into one family for the sake of ease. Also, the cover is fun because there are some fun times interspersed within the tragedy. But the description clearly states LGBT and Adult content. It’s important to read book descriptions because if a reader is sensitive to certain issues, the book description might help avoid downloading something that will be offensive, even when it’s free.
Alice’s Summertime Adventure is often painful, shocking, and heartbreaking. But the story also teaches a lesson about family tolerance, grieving, and the wages of loneliness. If you like stories that are thought-provoking, dig deeply into the human condition, and don’t sugar coat, you might like Alice!
Please help me rescue her from the obscurity of the below 4 star Amazon rating.
